VAngler
So Venmo is somewhat new to me but it is supposed to serve the same purpose as PayPal from what I understand. I had a couple of friends try to tell me that Venmo is starting to replace PayPal, but I'm not buying it. This is the first time that I've heard of Venmo but they claim to know more people that have Venmo than they know people with PayPal. So does anyone have any experience with, knowledge of, or opinion towards Venmo?
ILIKEBIGBAITS
It's like the same.thing except imo quicker.
evilcatfish
I'm sticking with PayPal, at least for now. Who knows what the future holds though as I believe Ebay and PayPal are severing ties, whether that causes any issues is yet to be seen
Londonmitch
Venmo is much faster to send and transfer to your bank plus no fees BUT there's no protection so I recommend staying with PayPal for transactions here on the boards. If so, they are the same parent company (at least the last time I checked). This could get interest...
ILIKEBIGBAITS
Venmo is meant for friends... for splitting checks, paying back friends etc... no protection from fraud.
