Your heart must have stopped when you saw the size of the fish and how it was hooked. Glad she made it into the net. She'll be 10+ when you hook her next spring! Unique did the trick, remember that and apply it throught the rest of the winter, keep thinking outside the box and that extra half pound may just become irrelevant!
