t.musky
I've got a 867 but was thinking of getting the 908 for the 250 slide swimmers. 10" is about as big as I go with baits but that could change.
jcolo4sho
YES, I havn't used my 867 since buying the 908, I even use the 908 for baits as small as the 8" hudd. Send me a pm if you would like a 20% discount on one, free ship and no tax.

jcolo4sho
Like throw my 250 really well on my 867 867 loads the 250 well, YES, I love the 867 for smaller glides like the
jcolo4sho
My posts are a bit contradicting. If you do not plan on throwing anything bigger than a 250, go with the 867, however, if you are like me and start to gravitate toward bigger baits, get the 908 as you will want one eventually and it can throw the 250 well. I hope that helps. Or just get both
Mitchconners1
How well does the 908 load and throw the mother or hinkle or 13 inch hiroshima. Sorry for spamming the thread
nickh87
I have the 908, loads well with my mother. I mainly use it for throwing the mother, 250's and my water wolf cam
Austen
How well does the 908 load and throw the mother or hinkle or 13 inch hiroshima. Sorry for spamming the thread Did you even read what Jordan said aka this entire thread? 908 will throw the hinkle and hiroshima fine. I think the mother is a little much but it will get it done. Just need to make sure you use common sense with these baits and lob it out. You can generate a lot of energy with a 9' rod which is great for those 500' breakoff casts. -Ali
WestCoastBigBaiters
Get it...You won't be dissapointed!
urbanhick
My 908 and and toro NaCl flat out bombs the 250. The 867 requires a lob type cast. Dobyns rod weight rating are way off in my opinion.
Mitchconners1
I can chuck my 250 with the 867. No lob cast needed.
urbanhick
I can chuck my 250 with the 867. No lob cast needed. I didn't like it on my 867 so I bought the 908 I do love the 867 just not for the 250 SS. It's a very versatile rod.
CEOwen01
In my opinion the 908 is under powered for the baits mentioned. Yes, I do throw them on it but it's not even close to being optimal. Just my 2 cents
