7.25 PB broken by Lake Mead DD

First off I would like to introduce myself my name is Nate and I'm new to the underground and this is my first post. The past two weeks have been super eventful for me. I've been throwing swimbaits almost exclusively for the past few years and have had some nice fish so far, but the past two weeks have really brought a lot of hard work to fruition. Two weeks ago I stuck my then current PB of 7.25 lbs on the new 175 in flash carp. I could see her follow the bait and slowed it down to really let it swing and she T-boned it. Well that PB was short lived.. Yesterday was certainly my most memorable day fishing swimbaits so far. I went out to lake mead to throw the flash carp again. I worked a few coves until I got to a spot I've been thinking of heading back to for a while now. I made two casts towards a patch of grass, one to the outside with no love and then back to the inside when she hit it. I could instantly tell she was big but was thoroughly shocked/excited when she got closer to shore to see she was a monster. I got her close and netted her. When I weighed the fish I was BEYOND stoked to see she was 10 pounds on my spring scale. There is no doubt that I will dream of the next one until I hook up into my new PB. I hope to share more stories and look forward to getting more acquainted with everyone on SU. post-22701-0-67692000-1425356271_thumb.jpgpost-22701-0-63817600-1425356245_thumb.jpgpost-22701-0-47002100-1425356222_thumb.jpgpost-22701-0-23316000-1425356119_thumb.jpg

Thanks I appreciate it, funny thing is I actually had my digi with me and thought I took it out of my backpack and literally couldn't find it thought I had stepped it into the sand haha. I was tripping on it then found it, kinda pissed I didn't get the digi weight but it is what it is. Thanks again - Nate
