MIbassing
Do any of you guys regularly throw hudds during the summer? Would i be better off with another soft bait such as an osprey or rising son which have the boot tail? Thanks

Mossypumpkin
If those two guys say it works, than it works! Personally, I rarely bother with a hudd in summer cuz there are better baits. Yes, I catch a hudd fish occasionally in summer. But I can toss a slammer, gill or pats and get more bites. Hudds...spring and fall. And fall....! mnbassman23
Last 2 weeks I've been hitting some nice fish on the Hudd. I prefer hard baits in the summer but being able to skip a Hudd under overhangs and docks has been key in some areas.
SethB
Yup 8" hudd gets bit all year long. Summer time it does split time with rising son. But i always have one on deck.
dheath2
Not speaking for Hudds so much but I've caught several Real Prey fish on Joe's shiner and other baits in the summer here in Japan and the water here is 80 degrees if not warmer during the day. Different baits but they share a similar, subtle action. northeast_trev
