JKitchens
Not a swimbait fish but it is my PB channel cat on a #4 Glass shadrap! Look in its mouth and you can see my lure! bassing305, Salty_Cak, blackdynamite and 2 others

Volfan
You get that big flatty in Colorado or slightly east? That's a huge flathead for CO!
TheGoodCat
That'd be a state record if it was caught in Colorado.
bassing305
Solid Flathead Catfish!
nadinesmom
definitely looks like a flathead with that huge underbite and flattened off tail. sometimes hard to tell just by color, the coloring is more channel cat like but looks like a flatty's body to me! Killer fish, flatheads are TANKS! Makes sense that you caught him on a lure, flatties love live bait, they're not as big into dead stinky things as the other whiskery bottom feeders. FishDr
Wow that's a beast! Super nice flathead! I've tried targeting them just E of the CO state line a couple of times with no luck - maybe this will be the year I get one to play. I caught this one at Geary State Fishing Lake while casting for saugeye. If you ever get a chance you should try Milford Lake in Kansas, huge bluecats are common. Flatheads hit Lazy Ikes trolled slowly along the riprap during the spawn, they would probably devour your slammers... Wipers are busting shad on top water starting in July and going thru most of September, total rush!!
