FishDr
yeah... I'm never trying that again. All that was going through my head at the time was "land this fish". I'm very upset that I didn't tell myself to go and lip it. The outcome would have been 2x better. 1x for the bait and 1x for the fish. lol. Don't beat yourself too much over it - we've all made mistakes and learn from them the hard way. Now that you've gone through the agony of losing a big fish and expensive lure, you'll automatically assess future big fish and approach them differently. One of my most memorable moments was almost sinking two work boats, at the same time, when I was helpful and launched them before we were supposed to take a bunch of people out...and forgot the plugs. Thank my lucky stars for having moored the boats in water shallower than the gunwales and the motors! Since then, I've checked the plugs of each and every boat I go out on at least 4x before we get on the water...sometimes I check them three times before it even gets out of the garage. We learn from our mistakes - good luck tracking the lure down! csparrow12
