pigmurkerz
Hey guys I recently moved down to Clearwater Florida and have pretty much been ruined by the salt. I want to use my glides for tarpon and snook but the trebles will not cut it. I thought i saw a pic somewhere of a gancraft that had a harness with two J hooks. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
fishinpunk
http://www.ownerhooks.com/treblehooks.htm Maybe something like this?
fishinpunk
I have used these on minnow type baits for rooster fish but not on glide baits. I will be trying them on my next trip to Islamorada, in the spring so I am also curious how they work.
pigmurkerz
Those look good! i am wondering if i need some sort of harness or a way for the hooks to get away from the bait once the fish hits it.

Lurejerk
They work, they look crazy but they work. These I use on the 12" Basara everythingthatswims, pigmurkerz and northeast_trev
fishinpunk
I like it! I was considering these also but figured the would kill the action of a glide. Thanks fellas!
MA Frog Man
Inline hooks. Use then on striped bass. Supposedly have a better hook up ratio than trebles. I've hooked everyone that's bitten it so far
BigSlant
I like it! I was considering these also but figured the would kill the action of a glide. Thanks fellas! Probably not on the big glides..def will create drag on the lil baits..but if your going for large Tarpon your prob using a larger bait? pigmurkerz
fishinpunk
I've caught 100+ #s on 5-6 inch lures and live bait. The problem with big lures is they can throw them easier. Really none of this matters because I just enjoy working glide baits to fool fish. I'll have to do some experimenting up here before the water gets hard! I think I have a set or 2 of assist hooks I could borrow from a butterfly jig. pigmurkerz

Manny Chee Outdoors
In the end my best setup was those butterfly jig hooks and some smaller hair rubber bands to keep them tight to the bait! Good luck!!! pigmurkerz
fishinpunk
Thanks man, exactly what I was going to try, much appreciated! Did you get any tarpon to the boat with a glide?
