I had a spare 6" tail laying around and I decided to glue it to the ROF12 Shad. This set up provides some decent thump and with the ROF12 bait, it still gets down there. I tried it on an ROF 3 and a 5 and both of them barely came off the surface. The bait will swim straight as long as you put the tail on right. You don't need to trim it.
