Top Ramen
It was interesting because a really big arctic air mass rolled over the day before. Combined with the warm water (62-72 degrees, depending on where you were), it made things a bit complicated. I'm used to an early spawn here but fish weren't just staging, they were on beds in ridiculously shallow water. The lake had so many spots that looked perfect but the fish were not cooperating unless you fished in a very particular way. I did not sort out a pattern quickly enough but a couple of guys did. The locals were catching a lot of 14-16 inch fish but there were not many good ones getting stuck. Lurejerk
Me and fellow SU Member ETBA (Eric) were paired up and drug out 4 and both had a possible shot at BB. We just didn't capitalize what few opportunities we had. It was really tough bite! Top Ramen, dillpick, ETBA and 4 others
Ceaser
I thought the only soft baits allowed were the rising son? did that change pre tournament? bdpettit
ETBA
We all agreed at the pre tournament meeting to add the minnow since the weather was gonna make things a little more challenging. I'm still shaking my head about that one I lost in the Grass... definitely some tough fishing, especially for how fishy that lake looked. basskickinrednick, biggfeast, Rogervang and 2 others
