Brandon, I think yours look better than the Shellback IMO.  I made several soft baits like that and they probably looked liked somebody else too.  We have to start somewhere; usually from a bait that we have success with.  For me it was Osprey Talon in the hitch color.  

I eventually made fish carvings as nice as possible and then added a tail that would swim.  Can't say they worked any better than the plain ones tho.  I used some at L. Amistad a couple years back.  They worked.  I had photos of all that stuff on SBN.  Gone for good I guess.

Nice work man! I am so imoressed by and envious of you guys who can build your own baits, I bet the feeling of catching one on your own creation is awesome. One day it'll be mines turn...
