253caster
It actually worked pretty good once I got it tuned and swimming straight. Its not a bait id reach for first in most cases, but im glad it functions lol Dogmatic and zanwhite
zanwhite
I did this with a white 68 rof 12, it spins nicely and should be a great night time bait as well
biggfeast
Cool mod, would love to see how it performs.
lux036
I don't think it technically has to spin around. As long as it flashes in the water, it's doing it's job.
kennyisnotdead
You could even get a small umbrella rig and put the 6" hudd on the middle spoke and run some colorado or willow blades on the others.
ATFISHING1234
Way to think outside the box.
northeast_trev
I rigged this one up a while ago. It's the blade off a 5/0 flashy minnow hook. 8" rof0 hudd with a tungsten weight in the belly LUV-2-CATCH'EM
californiacatcher
I like the idea man! I'd say maybe try bending the wire a little so it's curved that way grass and weeds kinda roll off a little easier! Cool idea though!
LUV-2-CATCH'EM
That's awesome-Cool idea! Post a fish if you get one on it...I bet it gets bit too

I'd say maybe try bending the wire a little so it's curved that way grass and weeds kinda roll off a little easier! Cool idea though! the wire is actually pretty flexible, and rolls through stuff nicely with the added help of the split ring. Doesn't seem to really affect the action, but adds some flash underneath. Not sure how long it would last if you were bottom dragging though
mjw2121
How's this working?Any fish yet?!Looks pretty cool
253caster
Thanks guys. Ive only been out once since posting, but it seemed to work pretty well once I got it tuned. Originally it wanted to roll over on its side, but I had to bend the wire slightly to correct it. I also might try a smaller blade like northeast trev because this big blade seems to create a lot of "drag" when burning the bait which causes the hudd to lean forward and nose down a bit. Jwp90
Recommend the smaller willow blade on the belly hanger. I love adding willow blades to smaller baits. Flashy swimmer on an optimum boom boom Is proably my favorite. 253caster
FishEastCarolina
Cool idea, I think it's a great addition for stained water especially
Rod Wynn
I've seen Paul Bailey catch a 9lber on a setup similar to this..
