Pike
Hi, thinking about a dedicated weedless swimbait setup for next season for pike fishing now that the big keitechs are available here in europe. I use 65 pound braided mainline to a 0,90 or 1mm fluorocarbon leader. Whats the best way to attach the heavy fluoro to the owner beast hook, so that it is the most weedless. Which knot would you tie, or is it better to work with crimps? Thanks
waynem
Tie whatever knot you are most comfortable with. Then add an overhand knot and pull the tag end back toward the bait and clip. The tag end will be pointed toward your bait and will not pick up weeds. Onthefly_25, Tuco, BigBaiter and 1 other

Nolan Aker
I tie 80 pound flouro to 65 braid with alberto and a drop of superglue then crimp direct to the bait. use the smallest crimp you can get away with and your only real problem might be slime in late summer. Ive found the loop from the crimp gives weedless rising sons a nice head wiggle.
