Jetfisherjohn
are you talking about the trout or the 13" shad?

Christophe55
Hello, why do you want to do this ? I have only one 12" line thru but it swim very good ! What rod you use to throw in ? Me, i use one irod large swim, but it's very just in power. I shall have had to buy a jumbo swim.
Bay Arean
I love mine as much as my deps and more expensive baits. They swim perfect at ultra slow speed and perfect while burning. I throw mine on the okuma guide and lews Wide spool.

Rogervang
I removed the plastics on all my 8in and it swims way better at slow speed.
bigesoxlures
the bigger the trout size, the more likely it will tear up in 2 pieces during a cast have had some problemes with the 16 inch version dont cast the 12 inch that often but would expect the same probleme to happen if you remove some plastic, its still a 300grm lure
