mike son
First year throwing swimbaits on a dedicated set up. Caught a few fish last year on magdrafts and gantarel jrs on an under powered setup so this year I decided to go all in. Fished for about five hours today and got three bass on three different swimbaits. Had only used my Deps 175 for about eight casts and nailed my first fish of the day. Proceeded to break it off on something that shouldn't have been there on about my tenth cast . I know this lake well and it should have been all weeds on the flat I was fishing. Going to have to go in and hope to find it when the water levels drop and the water warms up, I'm thinking it was a stray log that are far and few between on that part of the lake. No big prespawn gals but pretty successful for a first timer on pressured public waters. I'm now hooked on swimbaits and cannot wait to get out again, the weather here has been nice and then crappy and cold but 48 degrees and sunny on Sunday you know I'll be out there. If anyone has a Deps Slide Swimmer 175 in flash carp that they would like to sell please hit me up. Thanks for reading SU and tight lines DanartU, KeepinItReelFishing, Backyardbassin and 7 others

mike son
Invest in a lure retriever my man! Pays for itself the first time ya need it. Got one, the hound dog I think it's called. Of course I left it at home. I'd have gone in right there if the water wasn't 40 degrees or so. I'll be going swimming for it when the water warms.
