Jacobssam Posted May 8, 2018 Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 Im looking for a reel over any price range that has a higher gear ratio and can throw medium sized glide baits (primary around 3-7 ounces, biggest thing being a deps 250) I checked the searchbar and couldn't really find anything that really helped. Nick S. Posted May 8, 2018 Report Share Posted May 8, 2018 13 Fishing Concept a3. 6.3:1 or 8:1 gear ratios. I have 5 of the 6.3:1, it’s my favorite reel for anything I throw on 20lb line. Deps 250, Workhorse, Neg, Battles Shad, Wake Jr. This reel does it all. I think it’s a little small for 25lb but it does work. Ceaser Posted May 9, 2018 Report Share Posted May 9, 2018 The Daiwa TWS Coastal 200 is by far my favorite reel for mid sized glides, topwater and soft plastics right now. 7.3:1 butter smooth, nice 100mm handle, good line cap, Horrible blue color LOL but its a nice enough reel to look on past that.
