Loganodum38
So I like I’m sure a lot of others have hudds and mags that even mend it can’t fix. Also we’ve all bought baits we just didn’t really like the swim of them. Do you think if I salvaged the tail and maybe an inch in front of a hudd or mag and cut off the tail of another bait, would mend it be able to join them and it actually be fishable?. Specifically the boot tail savage gear, I bought a few and it just didn’t work with my style of fishing and was wondering if I could make a “hudd” out of it. Anyone done this or feel to chime in? Tony91723
Isnt this how the hudd 68 came about from fishermen doing this? Not sure what they used though. asavamedhi
MaineBassin
Matt Allen did a video where he cut off a tail of a mattlures gill to show how well mend it works. Would be interesting. Could get really creative. Make a 6" bait an 8 by adding 2" tail, add more, add less etc. If the bait is toast can't hurt to try
Loganodum38
I seen Matt’s video on this but have just never tried it to that extent, I would’ve done it last night to see but i have to wait 5 days, tackle warehouse wont 2 day ship mend it because its a chemical or something and I’m all out. JohnMarino
3:16 soft bait glue is better then mend it IMHO I use both and if I really need a good seal on adding a tail loctite super glue gel works great too i used a 8” hudd tail on a Matt lures bluegill that bait flat out catches them bigbuck28
Garrett
I've heard of people adding a cork screw shaped piece of wire in between the parts being joined plus mend it
