IdahoJoe
I have seen several 5-6lb bass pulled out of a local pond on lipless cranks. Its not a very big piece of water, only 8 acres. I know from experience it's 3-10ft deep, loaded up with stumps and only about a foot of visibility. I have tried all sizes of the 316 WRS and a floating Mattlures bass. None of these baits have done any good. What should I try next?

tybo jones
Crankdown wakebaits. Try banging or deflecting baits off those stumps. chevro1et

stkbass
Throw white or bone colored baits. I've done good at similar places with Bullshads/gills and wakes/crankdowns. Noisy wakes, like a billed wood cracker is also worth a try. Primus

BrhodesBassin
I would go with a rat of some kind, and a hard bait with some kind of thump or vibration and fish it slow to give them lots of time to track it. You could also try putting a Colorado blade on a flashy swimmer for those wrs to add a little to it Edited October 6, 2018 by BrhodesBassin
