morgantm16
What hooks do you change out to when you swap? I'm a little curious on some brand preference and sizes. Also wondering do you upsize for security reasons or do you down size for bites. In the past, depending on the situation I personally have gone both ways. Sometimes I swap to the heaviest stuff I can while other times I down size to the smallest hook I can get away with for finicky fish in clear water. I watched a video of mike gilbert talking about down sizing hooks for more bites, something I have done from time to time, just wondering how many of us actually do it? But also what hooks? Owners? Decoys? Gamas? Edited November 13, 2018 by morgantm16

bdpettit
Owners only for me. 2/0 & 3/0 are usually ST-36, with an occasional ST-41. Anything smaller than that and its 41's and 56's. Love the 36's, but bent out way too many in the smaller sizes.

MA Frog Man
St 36 for me. I throw mostly mono and prefer parabolic blanks so bending isn't an issue Edited November 13, 2018 by MA Frog Man

In science terms yes. In rod terms it describes a slower action rod. JoshPerkins802
