VolunteerSwimbaits
Not sure, this is a hard question. I might would try a sharpie? If that doesnt work, i am sure "spike-it" would work, but not sure how many colors are out there.

I was gonna try a marker but I might try to mix up some food coloring to see if I can get the color I'm looking for. Tealsprig
I would give Rit Dye a shot. It comes in liquid or a powder form and can be found pretty much anywhere, CVS etc. It's used for dying fabrics and all sorts of materials. kenneyfish
Soft plastic dye will work like spike it. I cut my tail off and modified the bait so I could use a soft plastic tail. Made a big difference on how slow I could work the bait.

surfk9
I've been using "sharpies" for years....my tails aren't fiber , but rather cut from fine neutral colored paint brushes...sharpie color lasts pretty good may have to refresh occasionally ..just my 2 cents... kenneyfish
I took a dremel tool and cut the tail out and made a slot for the tail and then drilled 2 holes on each side for the tooth picks to hold the tail.

How does it swim with your setup? Where did you get the tail?
kenneyfish
Tail was from Ebay, swims great just a little slower than with the brush tail.
bigpoppabass
As far as markers go marks alot brand seems to act like a fish attractant at times for me on senkos. Sharpies never had same results. They have different smells. Edited May 9, 2019 by bigpoppabass
