Loganodum38
Went out to a lake About 45 min away from my house that I very rarely go to due to it being a heavily beaten tournament lake that is known for dink’s and is 90% a dock fishing lake. Fished for about 6 hours and didn’t get a single bass......BUT I did get around a 35 or 40 pound bag of blackfish (bowfin). All came on the whippersnapper and it wasn’t a bad day until I got this big one that choked the back hook. Spend 30 minutes trying to get it out and then once I did I went home. Figured there wasn’t much sense into keep fishing when the bass didn’t even have time to hit it before the blackfish could. Although it was a very nice day out so I decided to make it worth the trip and take some nice and wallpaper worthy pictures. My whippersnapper did take a bit of a beating but hey, fish don’t care about that. Teethmarks are always cooler than hookrash. tHeINFamoUS, yev14, RIVET and 8 others

Sweet rig btw! thanks man, yeah its hard to describe, the fight feels like the mix of a big catfish and a big bass. sometimes they shake their head and jump out of the water and sometimes they just dig lol Noreaster603

Brennan4588
Haha i'd take a mudfish over a gar anyday. I catch them a lot flipping reeds, sometimes they will jump to grab the bait before it even makes it to the water. Hell of a predator.
