DoomDiver
I don't have much for build pictures but this is my first swimbait/glidebait (still don't know the difference tbh) after 1 small prototype build to see if I could do it. Lure is a little less than 7 inches long and 2.5 ounces. Sending t his one to my cousin in Florida to hopefully catch a monster bass. The paint job ended up much simpler than I was going for but in the end I like it.

First one was without any paint or carving just to make sure I wasn't wasting too much time on a dud bait. After I was happy with it I finished the details and clear coated and tested again. The first test had a much better action - I'm guessing because the epoxy clear coat tightened the joint up so it does have as wide of a glide now but it's still good. Definitely learned a lot for the next one I'm making. greentrout

The colors are significantly darker than I was hoping and probably looks more like a walleye now than a shiner, but I'm thinking it looks good enough that the bass down in Florida will still eat it. I think I have a swim test of it prior to paint and clear coating that I could post here. I also thought the action was just okay at first until I switched over to a higher speed gear ratio reel and man did that make a difference! I really need to invest in a specific rod/reel combo for swimbaits outside of the old 1980's Muskie combo I got from my dad.
Noreaster603
heck ya that would be awesome, like they say dont fix it if it aint broke. It is wild how the different gear ratios effect things though. DoomDiver
DoomDiver
I've seen issues with direct video uploads so hopefully this works. Unfortunately this was still with the low gear ratio reel so I'm hoping to get another video of it once my cousin gets the shipment and has time to get on the water.
