dqb
This site is a good resource for identifying freshwater fish: https://nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/factsheet.aspx?SpeciesID=579 Also, sly guy makes a killer shiner that I’ve yet to fish but looks like it would do the job. Remember the Sport Shad has the protruding side fins so you can burn it more and keep it subsurface. To me you can’t go wrong with either style brother

bassing305
The fish you caught appears to be a golden shiner. It is a good bait for big bass. Might be a good idea to get a swimbait that looks like a golden shiner and fish that lake.
