chefchris Posted December 14, 2019 Report Share Posted December 14, 2019 I scored some laminated birch blocks that are stained different colors. I’ve turned this product before and it’s fun to work with but it’s very heavy and tears out easily. You can get some really cool versions and depending on the shape/contour/angle you really get to see the layers. I made the American flag themed pikies a few years ago, and even made myself one to fish (a lot of saltwater guys collect the flag/American colored plugs) I got 18 blocks this time around, 9 of one color and 9 of the other. plan is to make some big ass slow waking/crank down muskrats (2 or 3 piece) and maybe a couple swimmers (3 or 4 piece) they’ll just be epoxy sealed and epoxy topcoated, at least that’s the plan for now. ill update as I work on em. thanks for looking -Chef Drewm42, El_Weruso, VolunteerSwimbaits and 4 others 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
