I have a Dawia Lexa 400 for throwing my big baits like Hinkle , mother , code name bass and The price is around $200 then you look at the Shimano Conquest 401 it’s $500 and the dawia max drag pressure is 25lbs and the conquest is 15lbs? Jw what’s the pro and con on the bait caster vs the big round reels like the conquest? Thanks guys..

It's like driving a Ford escort vs driving a Lexus

They will both do the same job, take u where u need to go, if u keep up the maintenance they'll both last u many many years. Resale value will be better on the lexus and u might get more chicks with the Lexus though

But with the reels the fish don't care which u use. Stay in your budget and use what u can afford.

Bottom line is, chicks are shallow and materialistic

they are a night and day difference in my opinion. low profile reels vs round reels should more be the distinction like Tranx Vs Lexa or Ryoga Shrapnel vs Conquest. Drag pressure should be one of the last things compared to be honest as that can always be modified to prefered specs with aftermarket washers. The ergonomics of the reels could help perform various techniques easier than the other (flipping, walking the dog, etc). There is also the factor that one is a high end round reel and the other is the affordable low profile. A Ryoga Sharpnel and a Conquest are more alike than the original comparison which would really only be given one over the other due to the anglers preference on company. They are both great builds regardless of the company.

+1 on this as well. Lexa is going to get everything done that a high end round reel will. Just keep your gear properly maintained and serviced and it will produce for you. Only reason maybe to go higher dollar, is potential added performance (better freespool due to more bearings, potential durability factor with aluminum frame keeping gears in line on a big fish...etc)
