168 Rookie
What's up SU, Planning on doing a ninja mission overnight tonight--it's been storming here in northern IL past couple days, ice-out within the past three weeks, so the water is high, rising, still cold and CHOCOLATEY. Temp's climbing though, from 48 degrees now at 8p to 64 degrees at midnight when I go out, raining mostly the whole time til I leave. My question is, should I still crawl the Hudd tonight or is it too subtle for these conditions? Gonna be 15-ish mph winds, in between storms. Thanks for the help fellas--this is my first season throwing the Hudd, only three weeks in, so I'm not yet dialed in with it. God bless, and stay safe! FishEastCarolina
Push a glass rattle or two in the tail and super glue the hole shut. Scent will also help. 168 Rookie
bigpoppabass
Fish sometimes hold close to shore and cover in the chocolate. So I use it like a jig and expect a hit when it touches bottom. Regular retrieve prob not the best bait to use. 168 Rookie

168 Rookie
Man thanks all you guys for the comments; ended up throwing the Hudd that night, got it hung on a rock or a log and had to break it off. My ONLY Hudd, just traded for it like three weeks ago! Welp, end of an era, RIP HUDD, I loved you well...
