SKSlide
I was considering lacquer thinner? Will it hurt anything? What else could be used that's cheap and easy? Thanks!
Jinxd12
Safe to use on what kind of material? Are you removing rattle can paint, or wanting to rattle can?
SKSlide
Sorry, it's a beat up Wake Jr that I picked up from my fishing buddy on a trade. I sprayed it but not too well. I'd like to take it down and start over..maybe even take off what was originally on it. Thanks!
Jinxd12
Citri strip from home Depot is what I use on my Tks, and other baits. Works well and doesn't drink up the place. You run it under water to stop the activation. Pretty easy and cheap. SKSlide
chefchris
paint thinner, acetone, denatured alcohol all work to remove spray paint or any paint stripper product thats available. SKSlide
Jtmoney
Anything mentioned above will work. But you dont need to take every drop of paint off. You need to said it down so get good adhesion, how fine of grit you get into depends on how nice you want the finish. I'de strip it like mentioned, then light sand and primer, and your good to go. Paint adhesion and quality is in the prep work. Try and keep your greasy fingerprints off it along the way. SKSlide
