Danny Frandsen
What material are you using to make fins out of? I want something super soft but durable.
TootsMalone
I use alumilite flex 20 since it is the softest i could get without going to plastisol. My only complaint is that it is opaque. You can dye it whatever color you want but it will always be opaque. Wykyd B8
I’m new to soft fins but I also hear saltwater plastisol is good. I have tried regular plastisol with hardner but it’s not as durable as the resin like roots posted.
danthefisherman
If durability is important, go with silicone or soft urethane like @TootsMalone mentioned. I personally like using saltwater grade plastisol on my multijoint swimmers as stated by @Wykyd B8
danthefisherman
If you're making a glide bait I'd definitely use a pliable urethane. I've messed around for a long time trying to get my glides to swim right with a soft plastic tail with very few positive results.
