Started testing this bait on 5/4, ran straight so I went ahead with painting.  20200504_151223.thumb.jpg.056e7a205eca1a5ddab92815c25e31a9.jpg

I had to have 1 extended joint to get the exact action I wanted, you can imagine that this does not go back n fourth, but more of a half circle.20200503_171340.thumb.jpg.f9895396a24a286b633332ffe9792bf0.jpg20200503_171324.thumb.jpg.a0a3c53582015668daa7396475dcbfb5.jpg

This has 260lb barrel swivles for hook hangers (still testing a few things with this also), for DIY rotating hook hangers.  They can be pegged with steel for a very strong connection.  For testing, I took a dog leash and had twins pull on it while I held the bait.  After seeing that I felt a bit more comfortable.  As of now I have 2 baits with these and they are solid, need to see how they are in about 6 months or so.

Went ahead and Painted

Equipped and ready for battle, Assist cord on rotating hangers.  I really like a lot of hang, nearly 1 to 1.2x the size of the wake as seen in most of the baits I make.  The hookup ratio is amazing with these and I still dont have issues with them tangling or going over the bill as long as I make sure to thumb my reel and straighten out the bait before it lands.  I think the extra effort is worth having the low hooks though.

First fish, not the 5 though :)

Then I went out in the morning and got a 5 on it!  It's so dang cool when they miss, then come back to grab it again.
