Shane Snell
Caught my first two fish on a Deps 175, yesterday morning. I was burning the bait real erratically, in shallow water, near cover. These two rats decided to cooperate. Even though they aren’t pigs, the confirmation that the bait will get eaten, is starting to make it one of my confidence baits. So, I have very little visual feedback on, the bait’s action. I’m taking it out to a clear water location, this weekend, to start figuring it out in greater detail. I have figured out how to get it to “porpoise breach” during a fleeing retrieve. Lol. We will see if that technique will ever come in handy..... Gonna work on slow cadence and a figuring out how to get the wider glide out of it, this weekend. That is, if the smallies on the South Umpqua here in Oregon, will stay off it....
