Albooboo
Bites been getting a little tougher for me and I’m out of work due to shutdowns so I’ve had a little more time to play around in the garage. Here are some things I’ve been up to and some sneak peaks of some future projects. Thanks for looking and I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season. Albooboo
Roughed out a few from that block. Also painted some of my resin 3 pieces. Pumped on the pattern. Nicknamed the paint Mint Cookies. El_Weruso and Bass_blaster

Haha yeah plus a few other baits off to the side in various stages. Easily side tracked for sure. Thought I’d mix it up and experiment this year, hopefully by the time the bite picks back up for me I’ll have a nice little wooden bait arsenal to play around with. danthefisherman
Albooboo
Sealed up, eyeball marked up, drilled up, filled. Tossed a tungsten ball in the back hole. Heating up the lead pot for the remaining ballast. El_Weruso

El_Weruso
Very nice clean work man! How strong are baits when you use 2 blocks of wood glued to one another? They don't separate later on?

They don't separate later on? There’s a lot of tuna and gt plugs made this way , as long as it’s glued properly with the right stuff and sealed properly it’s not coming apart. There’s a local guy here in CT that makes all his striper plugs like that and I think he’s had one or two failures in the 10 plus years (couple thousand plugs a season) Titebond 3 is what I used when I made some. I even took 2 baits and after they were finished left one submerged in a bucket of water all season and the other I left in a tree in my yard, but never failed. danthefisherman, Albooboo, DoomDiver and 2 others 4
Albooboo
I’m pretty sure even if I tried I couldn’t get it to split at the seem. The plan is to beat the bait to death so we will see how this particular build holds up. Got the lead in and screw eyes glued. Hopefully I can get out to the local pond and test the action tomorrow.
