Studio Composite - For the Beast

Hi there!

Has anybody here experience with the studio composite "for the beast" rods and can tell me more about the stated casting weight and blank performance? Actually I am having an eye on the 10oz Version with longer Handle, cause most JDM Bigbait rods are equipped with a way too short handle for my taste...

Thanks for your help & greets from Germany!

Im on your boat. I want to hear opinions on it as well. All i know is that the "for the beast" series had a collaboration with DRT, using the DRT reel seat and wrapping. With studio composite being the carbon fiber specialist and DRT being who they are, that rod is an absolute BEAST. It is what it is. Looking at pricing which is around $700 us im sure only a certain handful will even pickup the rod and actually use it. Otherwise its another trophy piece that sits behind the glass.

here is what i got to say! i have a beautiful FTB rod that i purchased a year ago. If you plan to get one i would be ready to be broken for the rest of your life. The ID rods are so amazingly light and comfortable that it feels like a spinning rod when you don´t have a bait tied on. i have the FTB 7815 so its 7 seven feet 8 inches and rated up to 15 ounce. I throw mostly big hard baits but it can really do anything for me. I´ve fished a lot of 4 ounce baits on that rod. it is super sensitive due to the carbon fiber handles and they are super comfy too :). i really enjoy this rod, i haven´t found one problem with it yet. i am an appreciator of the short length and shorter handle. but i still found i can send an 8 oz bait 60 yards with what some would think to be too short of a rod. it may seem stiff at first like an absolute broom stick, but once you hook your fish, the rod suddenly wakes up and bends perfectly to the weigh of load it is pulling on. i have only lost one fish on it, and it was due to a flattened hookpoint.
