Fried Lemons Posted May 21, 2021 Report Share Posted May 21, 2021 I was fishing a shallow, weedy spot no more than 4ft deep. Tons of carp spawning and about 10 yards over a massive cluster of bluegill beds. Lots of disturbance and muddy water due to the carp. I was gliding the k9 along the drop off next to the beds when I see this huge dark shape following inches behind. I gave it two hard reel turns and immediately got crushed. The fish started pulling drag and rolling so I knew this was no bass. I can’t fathom that you Cali guys have bass this size. The funny thing is I went through a phase where I was trying to catch big catfish on live bait. My pbs for the three big species all came on lures while targeting other fish.
