Marking the top of your swim baits

So a search didn't help me much on this topic. What is everyone using to mark  the top of their swim baits to track it's movement through the water(best color). I would prefer something adheasive over paint in case I want to remove it.

I would also like to hear from anyone who absolutly would never put anything on them because they felt it made the bait less effective. For me, most fish on that bite feed up so I'm just curious.

I use this stuff from Cricut, I cut it to shape with a razor blade and then remove it when ever you want. I use them on my Tiny Klash, K9 and gancraft 230. Never noticed a difference on the amount of bites with or with out though. Hope this helps!
