FishDr Posted March 20, 2013 Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 I threw the 3:16 top-hook RS tonight for the first time for walleye, and was rewarded in a big way. This big girl went 30.5", had a whopping 20" girth, and according to the online weight calculators should have been right around 15.25 lbs. After I'd released the fish, my friend asked me how I'd held it and I couldn't remember. Then we looked at the pictures and I went Oh Sh!t, did I really do that?!!! You're definitely right - thick gloves did the trick - I was wearing them because it was below freezing, ice was forming in the guides and the levelwind on every cast, and I'm a weenie when it comes to the cold.
