Can anyone tell me if the Shimano 301 Bay Game reel is built on the same chassis/frame and a Shimano 301 Tranx? Like, would I be able to put Curado 301k gears into a 301 Bay Game? rwp Posted October 4, 2021 Report Share Posted October 4, 2021 The baygame is the same frame. The gears will probably fit. I say probably, because I've never seen a baygame apart. What I do know, if they do fit, you will also need the entire drag stack (steel and carbon washers) at a minimum. Possibly more parts. When I put the curado gears in my tranx, I had both reels side by side to measure everything and swap what was required to have 2 functional reels when I was done.
