Hey guys,

Long story short, I was looking for a rod to throw small-medium sized treble hook baits on and the evergreen combat kept popping up as I was searching. I know no one that uses a combat stick and just wanted some first hand experience of what y'all thought of the rod and such.

Thank you guys

I have one and really like it. I use it for Spro Rat 50's nearly exclusively but also have used I slide 185s and Bream Slide. I got one of the Baitsanity Gills before the ice here in IL and it felt great with it too.

I pair it with a Zillion HD and 17lb Sufix mono.

The handle length is great and sits just at my elbow bend when palming the reel (tall guy w/ long arms) if that matters for your needs.

Only con is the reel seat is glossy and can be slippery in summer with sweaty hands.

Well I went ahead and ordered one so I will post my feedback for others once I get a chance to fish it.

Any updates on that Combat Wake Bait Stick?

The rating is 1-4 but I’d say it’s closer to 1/2 - 3. I threw a Deps bullshooter on it which is I believe 3.5oz and the rod felt overloaded. I love it for 3oz and below. I was able to cast a toxic whippersnapper no problem and it’s perfect for a tiny klash. It’s definitely a treble hook rod, I wouldn’t throw any soft plastics because it has a slower more parabolic taper. It’s a good rod for the money in my opinion.

I have combat stick and find it tip heavy and a bit dead in my hand.

It depends on your expectations.  I think it's a decent rod for Punkers but I use different rods for glides and single hook swimbaits.
