T Dot
are you using braid? I do use braid (30lbs pp). matching the hatch... like fly fishing most often than not, that will be your problem. you will catch fish, but im confident you will catch / hookup more on mono/flouro. i prefer mono. good luck
huddslinger
I fish very clear water if not windy I dont get many bites. Fish windy points and ambush spots and believe in your swimbaits and dont give up.
Bassindon69
Don't pump fight your fish. KEEP REELING! Have the net ready at all times. You may only get one chance at the boat. It doesn't matter if the fish jumps, keep reeling and keep them coming (no pump needed)
nadinesmom
Id try and throw a floating hardbait into the mix. X2 - A "7 MS Slammer might also be a good bait to try out. i was thinking a slammer also, and oddly just like you, the X2 reminded me of that haha. I'm sure the WI guys will lead you in the right direction. don't get discouraged, we all get skunked sometimes but then there are BEAST days that make up for it! mcm83
im in MN and i second different retrieval speeds. i hear that a ton of fish get caught on the s-l-o-w roll. i havent yet. not even in winter. all of my fish have been caught on a moderate to fast retrieve with no pauses with a couple on the deadstick. it didnt matter if the baits were floaters or sinkers. good luck

tsteadyslayin
Maybe slow it down and sometimes they just dont like a softbait..Just dont want it or want it slower..want it faster..Just change up your retrieve..
