Split ring pliers

Need a recommendation for a good one. Not crazy pricey. I got one a while back and it sucks and is two small for are size baits.

I also recommend the Texas Tackle split ring pliers. I use the orange grip ones for smaller swimbait and standard lure split rings and I use the large ones (green grips) for bigger swimbait split rings. They are available at Tackle Warehouse.

I use the Texas tackle orange grip ones for everything without issue. They've also been used as hook removers a time or two.

Large should be perfect. I ended up with both but use the L 98% of the time

I agree the tt r awesome. They also have bright handles key to finding em on ur work table. The lower end size is my go-to for just about anything.

I think you really need both the large green handle one and the smaller orange one.  You need the large for baits with heavy hangers and hooks like Slammers and 250s - the orange ones just won't open the split ring enough.  On the other hand with smaller baits the green ones are just too large to work with the smaller split rings.  They're solid.

I like my 5 dollar pretty pink berkley ones but they could definitely be bigger

Texas Tackle, and I agree you really need both the Orange and the Green. The green are too big for smaller sized split rings, and the orange won't open the larger split rings enough.
