@Londonmitch and I went back again this weekend to do some more exploring and had another good session. Not as many big fish as last trip but a whole lot of fun nonetheless.

Stopped to checkout the freshwater fishing hall of fame on my out of Hayward wisconsin today, and I though you guys would enjoy some of the old antique muskie swimbaits. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Also got these bait yesterday and fished it this morning. These baits glide nice and are built like tanks.

So morris1 sold me a bait and the bait specs he advertised were incorrect He didn't do it intentionally because that's what was advertised to him when he bought the bait new from a private seller and he never used it so he never verified what it actually was. I was nervous at first because I paid him as a gift to friends and family. But he was a man with integrity and was a total gentleman and refunded me and even paid for shipping the bait back even though I offered to pay it. This is an honest guy and I would not hesitate to deal with him again. He's one of the good ones folks!

SUB Tournament July 20th to July 26th You must sign up in this thread before the tournament starts on the 20th at noon or your fish will not count Please read and follow all the rules. 1) Biggest fish wins the tournament 2) Fish must be legitimately caught with a swimbait. Cast and retrieve only, no bed fishing. 3) Pictures must include: the swimbait used the fish on a digital scale ONLY A secret code will be released at 12:01 P.M. PST the first day of the tournament. The code needs to be visible in the picture. 4) Picture must be posted before the end of the tournament. 5) Fish anytime and anywhere between the tourney dates. 6) Once an angler wins a monthly tournament they are out till the Battle. 7) New weights by state. You must have your state on the scale or in your profile so other participants can see it 8) These rules can change depending on future situations but NOT during the tournament. 9) Tournament will end at 12:00PM on the last day of the tournament Failure to comply with the rules will disqualify your fish.

Wondering if anyone ever thought of making a distressed paint job. Sometimes old beat up lures just keep getting better. Would anyone throw something like this. I started to sand down the paint and re prime but decided to do this instead. I think it looks pretty cool.

Shad colors

Yep action beats color but lately I've been doing good on shad colors. Weird cause we dont have any shad around here. Match the hatch out the window

I dont take too much stock in color. I'm all about that action... That being said, I prefer a purple or grey.

What az posted- is missing the 3rd one from the ones being made now. His top one is the oldest and the second one is the after. Even the romans body and cut all vary from the 3 gens

I’ve bought 3 different batches of the 5” Weedless gizzard shad and I can not get them to swim straight to save my life, I rigged them using a 1/4 oz 6/0 beast hook and they will not stay straight. I emailed them and they claimed to not experience this problem even rigged weightless.. I gave up on them.
