    Deps 250 Tuning

Sorry for not telling the public/SU my way of tuning both new and old 250's & 175's, Each bait is different in finding there (sweet spot) via hooks, weighting, and pin adjustments/angle or hybrid tuning on the new style = OG specs. I've spent many hours figuring out what i see in a Slideswimmer/fish reaction and i'm not going to give my hard work/methods up. For years it's $10.00 bucks cash in with your bait for the return shipping cost, "donations to my beer fund are optional" I only do it because i'd like to see you have your shot for a PB......(You can't afford to pay me hourly).....so for that my time is for the Swimbaiting community = Free...N/C ...Lol it cost me money, but i do like a beer while working on your bait......Ps Money was never my goal in swimbaiting, Only the big fish and the passion of chucking big baits, who would have ever thought i'd see the checks for $$$$ just for having fun and getting pumped.......

Countless fish last trip up to Maine all caught on the toxic wnc , and Hogg’s in dbag, illude baits gerbil , and pats pointy nose in gill , and wooden shell cracker big fish for the trip went 5-5 didn’t get much time on the water but the time we did get to spend it didn’t disappoint countless 3s / 4s and the 5-5 cranking the pats on the corner of a dock , hearing the pike smash the illude gerbil really got me thinking I had a 8 + on hahah

  8. I took a midnight run out to a local lake and was able to land 2. I've been tossing my woodrow with much success but tonight I wasn't so lucky. My next go to bait has been the citizen 6 bait and luckily I was able to land this nice 5-6 lber and another 3 lber.

  13. It's been a hot one here in Texas. We do not cool down much at night. Water temp isn't much different than the air once the sun gets up it seems. Glide bait in the summer is my jam and loaded up on the 8" 3:16 Gizzard Glide (Texoma Shad). No concentration of fish in one area. Made a 11 stop milk run around main lake points. Eight hits total six of which made it in the boat. There was no mistake when you were hooked up. They T-Boned the Glide every time some of the pics below have the glide showing both hooks embedded each side of the jaw. I finished in the tune of just over 40 lbs. before lunch with my first bite in at 8 lbs. 14. SU Crew, please delete if this isn't allowed, only posted with good intentions! Just wanted to help raise some awareness and ultimately hopefully help them raise some funds! @ufobaitco is running a raffle to help support their family member who is having a second battle with cancer. They're running spots for $15 with a chance to win quite a few cool prizes thus far. I saw that @swimbaitunderground has donated a bait wrap, member @bassbass (brian) has offered up one of his UFO gills (probably has double digit mojo on it), i believe @grumbler has donated a 3:16 gill, the homie @kahai808 (dean) donated a sly guy gill, @biggfeast has donated a bomber, @StriperAddict donated a bunch of soft baits, @Slugfest_Hookem donated a 10" Hudd and i myself am donating a first run Toxic Whipper Snapper. Those are the dudes i could piece together, but but there's also more stuff to be won, i just don't know what all it is and where it came from! Checkout their instagram page for all the details. Huge shout-out to those who give when someone else is in need, you guys are b@d@sses! You can help the cause by going to the UFO Bait Co website and snagging some entries. All proceeds are going to the family in need and meanwhile you do have an opportunity to score some cool stuff. Awesome to see these grassroots movements come together and hoping it brings some needed relief to the family! F*#K Cancer

  15. Picked up a cl8 cranking baby possum to fish a select few ponds based on the depth it gets and all the praises from the New England guys. Hit the first pond the other night, was throwing the bait and fishing it up this incline passed this floating dock and it got absolutely crushed on the first cast. Fish hit hard and kept a kept a bend in the F5 908 while cranking it in. As it got closer and I started to swing it around it started grunting underwater and once it hit the net it made a lot of noise. Was bummed it wasn’t the big bass I thought it was but it’s big cat for our area (state record is 4lbs 4oz) and a PB for me so I’ll take it. Fish measured out at 17” and weighed 3lbs 6oz, thing was stupid fat. Had the front hook pinned in the corner of its mouth. interesting thing is my buddy stuck one at the same pond on a deep cranked large nez, about 60 yards down from this spot, weighed just over 2lbs and was 2-3 years ago. Not saying it’s the same fish but interesting for sure

  24. So stoked to of gotten this fish, got off of class at 9Pm and headed to my local park lake. I filmed on my GoPro everything from getting my glide bait tied on at my car to fishing the entire time (Which is about 45 minutes of video). Started fishing my surface 2 face glide bait with no takers, so i switched to a smaller profile surface gliding crappie bait i made and this fish was sold on it! She wen't 4-16 on my scale and is my 2nd biggest fish on a bait i've made. Shout out to Dfeesha for the wrap/paint! You can see in the video the moment i did 2 fast handle turns which is when she bit. I ran my GoPro the whole time so i wouldn't miss the possibility of getting C2C footage. The stoke is real! Wasn't sure how i could efficiently load the video besides throwing it on here. I tried trimming as much of the whole 2GB clip as i could but I wanted to show my whole approach on my quick 1 hour fishing sessions. (Excuse my excessive commentary) PS I Hate putting fish on any ground surface, i need to get a working class zero board that i can wet to protect their slime. GP030684~2.mp4

Back on that last full moon in June. It was 98 degrees and still managed to get the right bite. She went for 7lbs. I made another cast immediately after and broke off on another fish because I didn’t re-tie.

  28. Wish I could tell you definitively... but honestly I don't know. I would bet money they do... they seem to eat everything that fits in their mouths! I guess I can't say I've ever had one get puked up after catching one... the way I have gills, crappie, kokes, and the like...

Actually don’t really fish it all that slow in summer. They like it a little faster and it’s not a subtle bite they slam it.

  39. Did a little fine tuning on my 3pc that I’m calling the Torpedo Wake (and Crank) depending on the weighting. Also making this 5pc 9” topwater trout. I tend to do well on multijointed lipless topwaters when it comes to size of bass, so decided I needed to make me one. Test swims this weekend so crossing my fingers on the big boy.

    setup suggestions

I’m gonna throw it out there that there’s a champion 795 on eBay for $150 shipped... if you can scoop that you knock out your budget rod and quality rod at the same time. Budget reel: suggested lees or tatula 200 OR Abu maxtoro.
