  10. I managed to get one and checked right back and they were sold out. Was lucky to snag it. This must have been the fastest selling drop for this series... Or the lowest # of baits available

  13. I’d like the same color but in a regular size. I’d prefer a mid crank but am open to wake and diff cranks. As long as there is 1 of the UFO’s in crappie involved in the offer I’m willing to hear the other bait or cash offered along with it. Thanks guys.

  16. 20 and 25 big game for everything. No frigging with leaders and worrying about burning your line tying knots, knots going thru your line guide, braid cutting your bait in half. Sounds like a headache to me

  17. Get a heat gun put it on high . Then make light passes with it you want too be 2 maybe 3 inches away from your bait make sure I repeat !!! make sure too not stay in one spot too long with the heat gun it will melt your bait if in one spot to long eventually the water will turn into gas you will start too see it bubble we’re it’s cracked repeat till all the water is out .hope this helps if you still need help don’t hesitate to message me !! Good luck !!!

  18. lip required 100%, i go anywhere from 5-15 degree angle on the top bait, i would have done the front section longer than the back, like 2/3 front, 1/3 back or close to it. seems like theres a lot of wood in the back and the front section may not be swinging enough to move it. ive found that two sets of screw eyes in the joint also help a lot (think of the toxic mink) i do one set on my smaller rats and two sets on my bigger rats, helps create a more rigid bait that wants to swim straight instead of having the tail section dip down. you may also need a small amount of ballast centered in the bait to help act as a pivot point and also keep the bait from rolling. the bottom bait looks a lot like some of the striper plugs ive made in the past, again, lip needed, and rounded belly baits definitely require some ballast to keep them on track that top design looks solid man, probably just needs a few small tweaks to get it going.

  19. The JOYTHIEF color is sick. You’re right on the money about a Shad or baitfish color. I didn’t realize that until I got a TK on that last drop. It’s something similar to the shifts and ghost pearls I paint on baits when I’m doing Shad like colors.

I have only ever used braid to leader, I don’t know what I’m comfortable with. I’m trying to find the best option.

  29. I've had my 6500 c3 for 18 years. Throwing swimbaits for most of it. Handles 5 oz super easy. Clean it and it will run forever. If something breaks, they r very easy to fix too.

  31. What I did with a rat I made is it was orininally going to be a single jointed bait, similar to the second one pictured, but i wasn't happy with the action so i threw another joint in the middle of the back section and the last joint whipped side to side much more and i was happy with that action. Going from front to back the joints were 2:1:1 ratio pretty much. I'm don't have much experience building baits but I had the same problem and that's just what I did

  32. Got one. Holy crap those went fast. I think the last few drops for TK’s and k9’s made me forget just how fast their normal drops went. I was on it and had confirmation and they were gone.

  33. Right lol crazy thought they would sit for awhile lol they went faster then the TKs and the citzens weds lol

  39. Ive been experimenting with this lately, I think theyre really fun to fish but the spinning gear isnt stiff enough for me. I go to twitch the bait and half the blank loads. i guess its a sign i gotta find a stronger rod or ease up a little bit, but spinning gear is awesome for the small baits for sure

    1st surf striper

Went surf fishing for the 2nd time ever and after about 30 minutes of throwing a lucky craft, was thinking about that video of someone using a tiny klash. Tied on the lemonade with the minnow lip and v-tail. 1st cast and 3 cranks in, 13 pounder smashes it. My uncle, who is the surf angler and was with me, was guiding me how to bring it in with the waves, says it was about a 10 minute fight. Super stoked for this one.

  41. If you have the lip set at 90* and still dives, I would say increase the microballoon mix ratio and go from there. It seems you already have the weight placement figured out. Also, with the extra MB it sometimes throws off the weight placements as well. It's going to either be a sight change or a whole different animal to tune.

  42. I fish the great sacandaga all the time. Trophy pike lake for sure. I have roughly a dozen or so pike 39 or bigger since 2016. When they draw down the water in fall tons of shore access. Bring your muck boots

  44. I’ve found two weird techniques for fishing swimbaits that are constant winners. First would be fishing the deadtwitch like a dry fly. I started fly fishing long before I got into bass fishing. That’s given me a solid advantage in fishing current. We have irrigation canals where I am that fill up as seasonal run off starts slowing down. For a few months every year bass run up them to eat dead fish coming from the dams up stream. They behave just like big trout in how they relate to current and how they eat fish off the surface. Issue is the water is crystal clear and the fish are hard to approach without spooking. Walk up to the bank loudly and you’ll spook dozens of fish. Make a cast too close to the fish and they’ll spook. The solution is to sit on the bank about five yards off, cast upstream as far as you can and work the dead twitch down like a dry fly. Rod tip high and letting the bait float through the current seam to the fish. No splash, and a completely natural match to the fish getting sucked through the pumps. the second technique is fishing the Balam in a gravel pit near me. It’s a deep bowl shape with an immediate drop off and a fringe of timber encircling the whole pit. There’s a dense pike population so the bass hold tight in the timber to avoid predation. The solution to catch them is to go tree to tree figure-eighting the Balam in the brush to get a reaction. If there’s a fish over four pounds, you’ve got it.

weird ways to fish a swimbait

I usually throw them in a tree and spend half the time I am on the water trying to get it back.
