Got my first double up on swimbaits. Heart pounding to say the leastl Threw out the old bullshad and I bombed it out on my first cast. Whith in a couple seconds I felt the thump and it felt like a solid three pound fish. The conquest waswhinching her in when all of a sudden my line went slack. WTF! I was thinking. Disgusted with myself and amazed it had gotten off I started to reel fast to get my lure in. Them I felt way more weight and felt shaking. Wait a minute, fish was still on! I went back to my winching more and it was heavy. Man she must have wrapped me on a brach or something but I could feel a lot of head shakes so it was hard for me to understant what was going on. About ten feet out I could finally tell it was two of them. My heart started pounding through my chest, it was such a rush. Two nice ones the smaller one came in at 3.24 and the larger one 5.09! Over eight pounds total! I will never forget this whole experience for the rest of my life! Nuff talk here a picture of the two.

I fish this river every year for striper, these are landlocked fish in Tennessee. I've seen fish +50lb in this river, a lot of people use live bait to fish for them but it's way more fun to target them with the swimbaits.

Took our first family trip since Covid started and went to visit the wife’s family in Chicago and Wisconsin for the 4th. Weather didn’t cooperate too great but managed to get some on Senkos in one lake and then relocated to another one and slammed them on swimbaits for about 3 hours before dinner. Even my friends kids caught their first swimbait fish on the Sherpa gill, the youngest being 4 years old. Plus my 9 month old son got to see his first bass as well. Overall they chewed the Sherpa, 86 Doomrider, and UFO wake. Didn’t let the kids throw the UFO though…

Got into some real nice fish this week in MA. Wake JR has been killing it for me.

Anyone have a problem with the tail rotting off on their bait? I bought this bait from a pre order earlier this year, the tail was clear and soft when I got it. But I recently got the bait out to fish it and the tail is opaque ,rotting and cracked. I keep it in the wrap and always let my baits dry out after fishing.

@chefchrishooked me up a few weeks ago with some Toxic Baits Wade Frogs and a Froglett. Haven't been out in a few weeks due to work. I usually get a pit stop on the way home but 115° and 12 hour days I was to beat. Told the wife last night I'll be home at "dark o'clock" and met up with @Charettey. Jumped/shimmied a few fences and a few hours later a mini HABOOB sand storm with lighting hit us. The storm turned in the bite for use lots of dinks and this monster. 8.59# largemouth. Super stoked after a lull in the fishing time produced a solid fish! Couldn't find my lip grippers but wasn't (NOT) weighing this fish! Sucks I forgot about the SU tourney for what would have been my first ever submission! Jake also caught a few swimbait fish which has been a hard bite to chase all summer so far.

He will send you a new tail or two. Brock has top notch customer service. Just remember that just like most every bait maker out there hes a one man operation so being in a hurry wont get it to you any faster.

Congrats to your brother! I've been to many Brahmas games over the years - great entertainment and a helluva lot more affordable that a Stars game! The only two tackle stores in the Ft Worth area that aren't BPS or Cabelas are Fun-n-Sun in Hurst or Anglers Pro Tackle in N. Richland Hills. Neither of which would be considered a "swimbait" store, even though they will have a small to reasonable selection of the popular selling baits. The Fishin' Store in Dallas is a fun store to visit - can find some real gems there, but also lots of the standard fare. If I was still going to be in the area this fall I'd trade you fishing trips for game tickets but I'll probably be out west by then

So far I’m really liking the paint brush tail. Aside from that, I added some other updates on the bait with my latest 2 that I’ve finished out. I moved from eye screws to swivel hook hangers (something I’ve wanted to do for awhile) and I beefed up the eye screws in the joint. I never had any problems with the original ones that I was using, the way the joint is designed now and molded, it would fit the bigger eye screws, so I just decided to go ahead and beef it up since I had the ability to do so. So I moved from 1.25” long .072 to 2” long .092 screws. Finished two out for myself with those updates and slung some paint on them. Just went for darker greenish backed shad pattern and then a little lighter shad pattern. On both of these I tried to lay out the paint brush tail so that when trimmed, the white tips of the paint brush bristles were still present on the end of the fin to get the effect of the fin of a dying shad or fish that’s starting to lose the color in the fin tips. Tried to get lots of pics of the lighter colored one to show the shift in color to throw off that iridescent purple hue.

I was able to get 4 militia and 4 liberty.

Went out for my first tiger musky trip of the year and at the first spot of the day, on the 5th or 6th cast, this tiger shot out of the depths and engulfed the bait. About halfway through my retrieve, around 10ft from the boat, I saw this musky barreling at my bait and before I could react, I saw its mouth open and my bait disappeared. After a wild fight with multiple jumps, the fish barely fit into the net. Once the fish was in the net I noticed the back treble was hung up in its gills. This one was 5.4 and 21”. Saw a commotion in the water a few feet away from me in a spot I’ve been having lots of luck at recently. Waked the Hogg and sure enough it got bit
