The bait sinks? Or it is a heavy float and doesn’t wake? The new mink are fully switched over to crankdown baits. This is the way they perform best IMO. If it’s sinking it’s definitely not right and I will get you straight just contact me thru my email. Also if you were expecting a wake and it’s not what you wanted contact me and I’ll get you a refund. Contact@toxicbaits.com

  10. Caught this 8 lb 1 oz stud in the middle of July heat. Slow (painfully slow) rolling the Keitech 7.8 inch - a bait which I have fished hard and consistently for the past two years. The price and availability of the bait makes for a reliable fish catching tool in Delaware. Something like a citizen or battleshad may be more productive; however, the presence of pickerel makes me feel as if it may be tough to truly commit to and learn the bait. You lose two citizens to pickerel, you may have to wait a while to restock - whereas I can always have plenty of Keitech 7.8's in my box.

  14. Found Swamp Trout Plastics the other day on IG and spoke with Kris. He took time to answer all of my questions and provide info on the baits. They are 7” 3.25oz. I really like the tall and thick profile. There are swim videos on his IG. $30 for 2 baits..pretty good deal for a bait of that size. Came in a cool box. Offers different colors and has some still on his site. Here are some pictures for size comparison vs the STC Fatty and the 7.5” CHR. Hope to check back in after some swim testing. Thanks SU https://www.swamptroutplasticbaits.com

  16. Went out the day before school started about a week ago. Was hoping to get one on a swimbait and was only seeing smaller fish, casted by a tree w a 7 in bullshad and this mid 3 crushed it headfirst. No giant but a cool way to end summer.

No no no, you see his mom and dad really love the DOOMRIDER. They consider that an acceptable bait at that price point.

  27. I fish shallow rivers for them mostly. Fish are coming out of timber. Straight 80, locked drag, 3x hooks. Winch them out (or at least turn their head before they get to the wood). It’s kind of like grouper fishing. Won or lost in the first 10 feet.

  33. after a few missed bites last season on the citizen i got some great advice after i posted here which has helped me turned almost every hit into a landed fish think of it like a frog, when you feel that thud, give it a second or two, then swing for the fences. i was always pulling the bait out of their faces before they had it down enough use some sort of bait scent, which does two things, gives the fish a longer bite window and allows the bait/hook to slide better so less damage to the bait and better hooksets. I makde sure to fill the hook slot with it and along the weight and along the top, i use the bass dynasty scents but use whatever you want another tip thats helped was from Mikes video about putting the tungsten nails in the fins of the bait which helps the bait run leveler and keeps it down, also made a huge improvement on landing fish. i like fishing mine how you mentioned, also here in NE (RI & MA) along weed lines and thru holes/cut outs in the weeds, ive had a decent amount of luck pitching it into openings in the weedline as well. fun bait to fish especially once you start hammering fish on em.

The kid just bought it last night for $120 plus tax and shipping, and so did half of SU since they were up for so long. It’s understandable that he’s young and inexperienced, but hopefully this was a lesson learned. It’s one thing to buy it and use it to trade, but to buy it and flip it 12 hours later before even receiving it for an $80 profit will get you some not-so-nice comments on here

    ANOTHER JC fish

Went out last week got a short but fat bass probably like a pound and a half but yeah I’ve caught a JC fish pretty much every time I’ve gone out with it which is about 5 times and I’ve gotten 3 out of the 5 I’ve gone out. I have a pattern pretty much down right now

  40. @Millerst12Yeah man, thanks for posting this up especially with the pics and comparison. Snatched up a natural/gold and a gill color too. Although I do love the color shift emerald ones and chart/white ones too - which is why I bought the CHRs originally for the bold & unique colors - something different. See how these perform and go from there. Thanks!

    Duplicate Catches

I caught this fish twice in a year once in the spring on a swimbait and the second time in the fall on a chatterbait. I caught it the second time about 150 yards from away from the first

    9 inch shad glide

If you used 5 min epoxy it is not waterproof and one coat of KBS is not good at all... remember KBS takes up to 2 weeks to fully cure. what your describing, tells me you are somehow not getting adhesion to the bait with the paint, many reason why it would fail like your describing.

  45. Understood, thank you. To be quite honest, if the program you are referring to is getting out there and catching, then I'd love to join. The reviews are made in those 20 minute windows here and there when I don't have the time to pull out the boat and get to fishin. Trust me, I wish I had more time to dedicate to fishing. But summer time is rough. Hopefully come fall I will be out there fishing alot more than I will be shooting review videos. I've never said my videos are the best, or perfect, or worth watching. I just do what I can with the time and resources I'm alotted... I'm doing my best, and I apologize if it isn't enough.
