    Got soaked fishing in the rain today. Pond was at maximum capacity and water from a nearby field was dumping in. Got a big hit cranking the rumble rat cross current, banging it through trees. I was pleasantly surprised, this pond usually only gives up dinks. Here’s a more typical fish also ate it on the crank down.

    The rep also mentioned that boats are now taking 12 weeks to 6 months, the longer build times are on the pontoon boats. it’s now a shortage/delay caused by some of the finish parts on the parts, windscreens, wiring, trim panels etc. if you’re in the market for next season, act now!

    Two things. Let me start out by saying that the whole swimbait culture has been amazing. I have been throwing big baits for a couple of years now but taken it really seriously over the last 10-12 months. I want to give the Arashi glides and the S-Waver to someone who is down on their luck or a kid who just doesn’t have the means. 2nd the baits in the second pic are for sale/trade. Really have been on a Toxic kick so any trade offers of those will go to the front. 7” TT in Tennessee Shad with 2 extra tails (fished a couple of times but no takers) Geecrack Gilling Neo (water tested only) Mattlure 3 piece Floater (1 fish caught on it but you couldn’t tell) Bucca Bull Gill (new) Bacca Burrito (new) AZ Fisher Wake and Crank (fished a few times but like new) PM any offers if interested. Willing to look at just about anything but like I said Toxic (whippersnappers in particular) to the front. on the glides that I’m giving away I can only take you for your word.     Yea it’s ish show and only getting worse for sure. I got lucky and saw this coming. Threw my little build together a few months ago before it got too crazy. Only thing I had to wait on was my 9.8hp tohatsu outboard but that was only two weeks. They are like unicorns now.

    well after 9 weeks of waiting the boat arrived at BPS on Monday. went today and signed the rest of the paperwork and paid it off. Taking delivery on Nov 11, cause I'll be away next week for work. Boat is super nice and crazy how much bigger/wider it is than my crawdad! will be a nice improvement especially on the bigger bodies of water Tracker made some upgrades to the drainage system on the deck which is nice and abig improvement over last years version, they also made the floor panel rivets able to be drilled out to run wires instead of having to run everything down the main center channel thats like 1" square.

    I'm up in northern IL and I tied back on the Boogie Back wake this week just because @Mossypumpkin said in another thread wakes will work until there's ice on the water. I want to test that theory and I did get bit, too; fished less than an hour and got two bites cranking it SLOW. This is just after last light, 45 degree air temps. Not bigguns, but the theory holds so far.

    I've made my buddy a handful of baits now, a couple poppers and a jointed swimmer with a P-51 mustang angry plane face. His 6 year old son who loves cars, guns AND fishing saw them and got his imagination rolling and drew up lures he wanted me to make him. Made it a fast floater so when he kills it it won't sink into a snag.. Dont have too many details other than that! Did my best to recreate it with my style while staying with his drawing. Made my day seeing the video of him opening it! Thanks for reading and hope your weeks starts off on track!

    Went out last night and threw a 7.5 inch truebass around for a few hours working down the bank with no bites. Tied on a miyagi and after a couple casts got smacked. Caught at about 1230. went 7.6 best fish of my life

    Got a good one on the Jlue glide (not sure what the correct name is) and also got one on the BGC crank down shad that was about 3/4 of a inch longer but much thicker that weighted about a pound and a half more.

    Hey folks, Kind of a silly ask, but does anyone have any size 4 Mustad Triple Grips lying around that they aren't going to use (KVD elites and not the Bill Lewis ones)? They can be used but preferably still sharp. I have a small shad bait that I want to try short shank hooks on (to minimize fouling my line on the hooks when fished aggressively) and figured I'd ask around before ordering some new. Willing to pay for them, but obviously not more than retail and shipping.
