Day 3, Finished with the outline of the trout and now I'm gonna try and do the profile tomorrow. I'll Keep you guys updated..

Still looking for a big fish but always stoked to get anything to commit

When the topwater bite is hot at a super shallow spot I go to nothing else matters besides the frog. The swimbaits get set to the side and the little croakers come out to play. I lost a 10+ (not even questionable in my mind that it was a 10) there, and have gotten 2 fish over 6, a 6 lb 7 ozer and a 6 lb 2 ozer this year. Additionally I caught a few right around 4.

Started off 31 degrees heated up to mid 40s started off burning and pausing the Tk payed off with some dinks and a chunk switched up to softies and got on em they are defo putting on the fall feed bag!

Getting into swimbaiting this year I had one goal in mind and that was to catch a largemouth over 7 pounds. Trout got stocked for the first time this year at my local lake and I knew I had a shot at a good one. I started the day off at the same spot I caught my PB striper a few weeks ago targeting those schooling fish but I didn’t see any followers or get any bites like I did on previous trips with the deps 250, so I switched to the hudd. About 20 mins into fishing it slow on the bottom I got bit but missed him. Next cast I got bit again, lost him at the shore- was only a 2lber. Fired out another cast and got bit again, this time I saw the fish that bit my hudd. It was a giant. I think it was easily over 10, but I swung and missed him. Frustrated, I casted out in the same spot, got bit again, checked for weight and he was there so I swung for the fences. Hooked up and cranked him in. Landed this one- it wasn’t 10 but it was my Pb. 7.4 pounds, completing my goal for 2021. After I took some pics/ weighed her and released, I went back to the same spot. Got bit 8 more times and missed all of em. Safe to say I’m going to be BB rigging my hudds from now on. IMG_2040.MOV

I'm a sophomore and was aloud to make anything I wanted in my trades class. I set my goal to make a trout glide, did my little bit of research on the forms and got a piece of bass wood. I'm going to try and keep you guy's on some daily updates. My main concern is where I should cut the joint and how to lay some eyelets in. Gonna need your guys help to tell me want I'm doing wrong or what I should do. Thanks, Eli

It has landed in illinois. Its looking pretty nice. We will see how it goes with the colder temps.

Just a couple my biggest non swimbait fish this year

I have these two shimano Cardiff 300’s that both have the same problem. The thumb bar is broken, meaning that it is like super floppy and doesn’t unlock anything. I am pretty sure I may have a few small parts missing but not 100%. Anyone know?

Another nod for the DC-200. I’d go with the HG version too so you can make sure you pick up line fast enough on fish in the weeds.

Never had any problems with the stock hooks, they guys that complain about bent out hooks are the ones who have locked down drags and set the hook like a gorilla LOL

If I had a dollar for every drt product I’ve bought that wasn’t a handle and I didn’t catch anything with, I could probably buy another handle

That's the first tk I ever scored dropped in April I believe..still haven't caught a damn fish on it but it looks nice ahahaha

The bait I ordered was “in stock” on the website. Apparently in stock means they have the knowledge of how to make one, but still need to order the parts, build it, and paint it. I waited nearly a month and then just got a refund. Got every excuse including, “a tree landed on the shop and we had to repair it”. That’s just bad luck…a tree lands on the part of the shop where they make crank shiners but not the part where they make the gills for the gathering lol. Some people…
