Yeah it shouldn't have broke yet. It used to be Minn Kota had the cable problem and MotorGuide had the "fail proof" cables. Cables shouldn't have been something they had to order, should have been some in stock so I'd whine about that a bit. When the motor is stored make sure the peddle isn't pinned all the way up or all the way down thereby putting too much stress on the cable.

I used to catch a lot of nice spots on Super Spooks and Pupfish during the winter slow walking them along cliff faces or along house boats.

Cool man. I'm in KY. Just a little advice- I would strongly urge you to plan on going to grad school. A bachelor's degree in this field isn't worth much nowadays. I third that piece of advice, if you want to do anything in a technical or science field, grad school is a requirement.

DipNDye would probably work, it dyes everything it touchs. Hudds would an expensive way to catch pike though.

I've yet to get a DD bass, I have a 9-7 and the 9-14 I posted a pic of a couple weeks ago but no honest 10 lbrs, yet. I do have a DD trout.

I'll smoke anything if I think it will taste good. lol. I do a lot of trout, kokanne salmon, tri tip, chicken and ribs. Havn't done any shrimp yet and the eels I save for sturgeon bait. lol Took me a long time to get consistent with a smoker. For me the trick was getting an electric one with a thermostat. Smokers are kind of like swimbait gear, spend the money up front and only buy once.

A chicken after 4 hours in the smoker just in time for half time. Brined in apple juice, brown sugar, salt, garlic and onion. One of the two tri tips I made also. A lite rub of salt, black pepper and cayane.

Was on an epic topwate bite one day at McClure throwing Super Spooks. Was unhooking yet another spot when he shook and I drop him, two of the three trebles buried in the top of my thigh. -

Love the bits of snow on the ground. Some of the guys I know out here in Calif are complaining its too cold to fish.

For SuperBowl I'm smoking two tri-tips, one marinated in red wine and garlic and the other just simple salt and black pepper rub. Will also smoke a whole chicken marinated in apple juice, brown sugar and salt brine. Of course a pot of elk sausage beans will be on the stove. Will take pics and share.

Something I have come to notice about cheaters and liers, they always play the victim card. Its always someone elses fault. And just like this guy, they usually go on the attack at some point. If it wasn't so sad it would be commical how they all follow the same pattern.
