I've thrown expensive baits that way over 10 ounces with braid.
It works better than mono in my opinion if you're not worried about visibility and floating line works for you.
Always makes me shake my head when I read about guys having problems with braid for relatively light swimbaits like a hudd.
What do you think guys up here are using to throw muskie baits that weigh as much as the dead twitch and mothers?
Loomis 956. Lowest guide is lose. I wrapped it with braid a few years ago on a trip and it's held steady. Probably will need to be wrapped right at some. point $200
Ldc xxh. 8' 6" left handed spiral custom, split grip no fore grip. Gold colored wraps on eyes. $400
Shimano Calcutta 401te good shape. $350
Daiwa luna good shape few scratches $175.
Pm cell number or email for pics. Reel prices are shipped,I have to see what shipping a rod cost.
If it's the guy who was trying to justify killing the "50 inch" musky by saying he needed to feed his family while throwing $20 dollar lures,he's not smart and his uncles are probably also retarded. It's simple genetics.
So even if his make believe uncle rick the big bad lawyer was real, they're not good at lawyering.
If it's not that guy I'm not sorry to the guy who killed the fish to feed his family because he's still dumb as "Not Allowed".
Where you from?
The same baits that work around the country work here,I don't throw hudds much because they don't hold up to esox teeth at all. Other than that any proven bait throw with confidence.
