    Swimbaits actually catch fish in illinois lol My dad finally let me borrow a wake jr and the first night with it out I had 5 blow ups and a 4lber! Don't know why the other 4 didn't hook up.. They were decent fish!

    Okay I'm just getting into swim baiting and have picked up some TTs, a Matt lures hard gill, some 68 specials, and a plethora of 316 hard and soft baits . But I fish some Michigan lakes that have a decent amount of pike how do you guys keep the toothy fish off your baits?

    Havent decided on custom or production. I fish in Illinois and Michigan and I want just one rod that will throw all of the smaller to medium sized baits. I'm playing on throwing 6-7 inch tts p, baby wakes, wake jr, mission fish, hudds, punkers, and light alabame rigs.

    Not doubting you at all just a question. What's the difference between the osprey top hook and a rising son? Same type of bait right?

    I'm looking to get some as I'm new to swimbait fishing and the hard baits are basically impossible to get and this kid isn't dishin out 200+ on the bidding site. I'm from Illinois and I have a couple little lakes that have put out a 10.3 and an 8 something so size on the bait doesn't matter! Thanks!
