  1. I always liked to fish mine pretty fast, and get it to glide off to the side as far as possible. I would work the bait with only the reel (no rod twitches). Cast it out, let it sink to desired depth. Then start reeling it pretty fast to get the bait moving back and forth, then I would do a hard rotation of the handle to get the bait to shoot off to the left and pause the retrieve to let the bait glide as far as possible, then a couple more quick turns of the handle followed by a hard rotation of the handle to get it to shoot off to the right then pause to let the bait go as far as possible. What the bait would look like in the water was a fast swimming action for a few feet then it shoots off to the left, then a fast swimming action then it shoots off to the right. Just do that all the way back to the boat. This was my best cadence with the deps 250. I imagine to a bass it looked like a baitfish fleeing from the pursuing bass and darting off center to throw the bass off its tracks to escape. Here’s a video of the cadence.

  3. Thanks, appreciate it!
  4. Thanks man! I thought it was even bigger when I first saw it. But I’m very happy with 8lbs!
  5. I normally only post my swimbait fishing content on my Instagram and YouTube channel. But I thought this one would be worthy of being posted here. I've been doing so good on the 9" MS Slammer in the last couple of weeks and now l've caught this beast!! Biggest fish I've caught so far on the slammer and my biggest fish from the bank!! 8 pounds (8.02lbs officially)!! Really excited about this fish! Here’s a picture and cast to catch video of it.
  6. I’ve had some of my best Swimbait days on post frontal conditions. To the point where I was actually seeking out these conditions. I seemed to do best on relatively large baits fished slow. I fished the 8” bottom hook rising son, the 3:16 heavy floater BAA. And the 3:16 10” floating freestyle. All worked slowly.
  7. I got the 2 weedless rof hudds in a trade, took one out the package, cast it a few times and realize the sink rate is alittle too fast for what I’m tryin to do. I’m looking to trade them for 8” weedless rof 5 in same condition, preferable in shad or bait fish patterns. Or for sale for $55 bucks each or $100 for both. The top hook is a rof 16, used once, will add to the lot for $125 total
  8. I caught a bunch of fish the other day pond hopping with the Cl8bait water vole
